With your phone available for measurements, chain a
s many as needed to
accommodate the front width of your cell phone (not
the circumference). My
Samsung Galaxy S4 requires 12 chains. I will use th
is example throughout
the pattern.
Skip the first chain, and do 3 single crochet stitc
hes in the next chain.
Do 1 single crochet in each chain across, stopping
right before the last
chain.
In the last chain, do 3 single crochet stitches.
Pivot your work so that you are working on the oppo
site side of the chain.
Do 1 single crochet in each of the chains. Slip sti
tch to the first single
crochet stitch. Using my example, I have a total o
f 24 single crochet
stitches counting from the beginning.
Working in rounds now, chain 1, and do 1 single cro
chet in each stitch
around. Total = 24 single crochet stitches.
You have a choice of easily changing colors for str
ipes (please see video
for an easy no-cut/no-weave method) or you can cont
inue along in the
same color. Help video:

Continue on in rounds to accommodate the height of
your phone.
Finish off the last round by slip stitching to the
first stitch, then cut and
weave in your ends.
Sew a button or other closure on to the case.
Make a loop for wrapping around the button by chain
ing approximately 12-
14 chains with 2 strands of yarn, depending upon th
e size of your
phone/button.
Connect the loop by knotting it to the back of the
case. Wrap the loop
around the button to close the case
